Known for It's Fine Chargrilled Steaks & Homemade Soups

The Pickwick Restaurant & Pub is a historic restaurant located in Duluth, MN.

An area landmark since 1914, the restaurant and full bar serves a variety of pub food and is known for its homemade soup and award-winning, chargrilled steaks. The Pickwick has earned a reputation as a purveyor of excellent food in the Canal Park area, along the shore of Lake Superior, winning a James Beard Foundation Award in 2007.

Modern Meals in an Old World Atmosphere

The Pickwick opened in 1888 as the Old Saloon within Fitger's Brewery Company, but it has operated at its current location since 1914, surviving the Great Depression and changing ownership only a few times. The Pickwick offers award-worthy meals with an Old World atmosphere. The European style woodwork and furniture is a hardy hat tip to Duluth's skilled immigrants. Even the painted canvases in the Dutch Room were brought over from the former location.

The food was delicious. I had the beef tips with mashed potatoes. And then a huge bowl of brownie sundae. Way too much for one person. But very yummy. The view was great.

This my favorite restaurant in Duluth as I love a classic supper club. The New York Strip was perfect and the Turtle Cheesescake was to die for. Any time I am nearby I make this a must go to stop.
